Marketing Internship

THE ORGANIZATION:

An unbelievable group of individuals who positively impact those in our community! When Soccer Shots first started, we dreamed of what we might be able to do... Since then, our dream has turned into an even better reality. Through Soccer Shots, we've impacted thousands of children in and around our communities. We attribute much of our success to the dedicated, fun, and a little bit crazy team we've put together. We're passionate about what we do, and are looking to add people to our team who feel the same -- people who are fired up about the idea of impacting the next generation through the game of soccer.

Soccer Shots is looking for a highly motivated volunteer to come join our team! Do you want to able to gain real-life hands-on experience in the business field? Would you like to develop your resume? Once you finish your internship you will have gained valuable skills and be apart of a legacy here at Soccer Shots. We have strict guidelines by the CDC for day camps and youth sports we are following, but it has not stopped us from impacting San Diego's youth through fun, active, and proven curriculum!

THE JOB:

Roles and Responsibilities:

Assist with social media platforms and creating Soccer Shots brand presence online
Engage in learning objectives focused on marketing and data analysis that sharpen your skills
Brainstorm ideas for content pieces, promotional items, and storytelling for social media outreach
Communicate and build relationships with our community partners
Conduct guerilla marketing and campaigning

REQUIREMENTS:

Be enrolled in a degree from an accredited college/university
Be majoring in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, International Business, or a closely related discipline.
Be available to work part-time for at least 20 weeks
Reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License
All applicants can receive academic credit from their college (as the volunteer program is unpaid), and work a minimum of two days per week in our East County office in San Diego
RELIABLE TRANSPORATION and a valid Driver’s License (we drive all over San Diego County)
Cleared background check
Immunizations (TB test, MMR, Tdap)
COVID Vaccine if applicable (not required for this volunteer position)
CPR Certification
Must already live in San Diego at the time of application

Soccer Shots is an engaging children's soccer program for children ages 2 to 8. Our goal is to leave a positive and lasting impact on kids through introduction to sports and activity.

Our coaches are at the heart of what we do, our real MVPs if you will. They create smiles and deliver character-building FUN by teaching age-appropriate soccer skills to kids in the local community.

Soccer Shots coaches are equipped with...

Training - We make sure our coaches are comfortable on the field by offering informative online & in-person training to equip coaches with our curriculum and helpful (developmentally appropriate) coaching techniques.
Curriculum – Our curriculum is FULL of the stuff kids and parents love! Our program is curriculum based, so coaches are provided with session guides and mobile friendly resources to help you deliver the Soccer Shots experience.
Ongoing feedback and growth opportunities - We’re a growing business and are always looking to find passionate and reliable team members to help us continue to grow.
Equipment - We provide everything you need for a Soccer Shots session in an on-the-go bag that fits in the trunk of a car. It’s why we can have Soccer Shots in convenient locations like school gyms, classrooms, outdoor spaces, local parks and community centers.
Opportunities to provide feedback - We value the feedback of our dedicated team and want to know how to make our program better for the families we serve, and our coaches.
