Soccer Shots is an engaging children's soccer program with a focus on character development. Our caring team positively impacts children's lives on and off the field through best-in-class coaching, curriculum, and communication. We specialize in programs for children ages 2 through 8 years old and are dedicated to providing high-quality, foundational soccer training that prepares children for a lifetime of soccer.

We are looking for caring and engaging coaches who can work a minimum of once per week and can commit to at least 8 weeks of the same day/time. We have opportunities every day of the week between our daycare programs, after-school programs, and public park programs. Soccer Shots programs are offered during select weeks of the year; thus, employment is seasonal. All employment is at-will.

Though we continue to grow, we are still a family business at heart. We aim to develop each of our coaches in areas including leadership, early childhood education, and sports management.

Requirements

Must love young children and soccer!
Reliable transportation!
Must have lots of energy, and not be afraid to MOVE and SWEAT!
Must be at least 16 years of age!
Soccer playing background (preferred)
Must pass a background check

Responsibilities

It is an assistant coach's responsibility to manage and direct certain duties related to the operation of a Soccer Shots session, including, but not limited to, the following:

Preparation

Attends coaches meeting at beginning of season.
Reviews online curriculum (prepared for you ahead of time, and aligned with Colorado state early education standards).
Arrives on time to help set-up field for session (15 minutes early)

Coaching

Ensures the safety and well-being of every child
Reliable, professional, and able to help maintain control of 4-12 children
Follows proper on-site protocol for each location, as prepared and provided by Soccer Shots supervisor
Assists in fun and positive 30 to 60-minute sessions, following the weekly Soccer Shots curriculum
Must have HIGH energy, and LOVE working outside with young children!

Communication/Administration

Communicates in a timely fashion with supervisor about any changes, challenges, or important information.
Submits time sheet per payroll policy.

Organized: plan ahead and conduct each session according to the provided curriculum.
Responsible: commit to doing what is expected of them as an outstanding coach and "face" of Soccer Shots.
Energetic: bring Soccer Shots to life by creating a fun and positive atmosphere for each child.

Training - We make sure our coaches are comfortable on the field by offering informative online & in-person training to equip coaches with our curriculum and helpful (developmentally appropriate) coaching techniques.
Curriculum – Our curriculum is FULL of the stuff kids and parents love! Our program is curriculum based, so coaches are provided with session guides and mobile friendly resources to help you deliver the Soccer Shots experience.
Ongoing feedback and growth opportunities - We’re a growing business and are always looking to find passionate and reliable team members to help us continue to grow.
Equipment - We provide everything you need for a Soccer Shots session in an on-the-go bag that fits in the trunk of a car. It’s why we can have Soccer Shots in convenient locations like school gyms, classrooms, outdoor spaces, local parks and community centers.
