Soccer Shots - Lafayette is hiring now for positions starting in July!!

  • Soccer Shots - Lafayette is the #1 Children's Soccer program in the country. Why? Aside from the incredible curriculum, leadership, and passion, we only hire the best instructors to work with our children. It's imperative that you not only enjoy working with children, but you also have some soccer experience and are incredibly passionate about spreading the love of the sport and teaching our expert designed early learning curriculum. We want our Soccer Shots sessions to be the BEST 30-45 minutes of each child's week-as we strive to develop basic soccer skills, character skills, social growth, cognitive growth, physical development, teamwork and healthy lifestyles in each of our children.

  • We operate in early learning centers, daycares, preschools, schools, community centers, and parks. Classes are Monday through Friday, 30-45 min for each session. We provide training, equipment, and all curriculum materials. We offer rewarding work in a great environment with the opportunity to inspire children ages 2-8 in the community. At some centers, there will be multiple classes, meaning you will be instructing 2-3 consecutive sessions.


 The ideal instructor MUST meet the following criteria:

  • Safety-conscious, your #1 priority is the safety of children under your care.
  • Caring, you engage with each child through specific and positive affirmation.
  • Organized, you plan ahead and are systematic in routine, conducting each session according to the lesson plan and working with children to maintain appropriate order for the age group.
  • Responsible, you are committed to doing what is expected as the instructor and "face" of Soccer Shots.
  • Energetic, you bring Soccer Shots to life by creating a fun and exciting atmosphere that leads a child to smile and participate.
  • Prior experience working with children ages 2-8 (former teacher, daycare worker, or tutor)
  • In addition to the above, a successful candidate must pass a Louisiana Department of Education and Louisiana State Police background check, successfully complete abuse training.
Schedule Hours:

  • Instructing is a part-time position.
  • Class sessions are typically between the hours of 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. on Monday's thru Friday's. Most class sessions are 2-3 classes scheduled consecutively.
  • Can only work 2 or 3 days a week? Thats ok, you communicate your availability, and we tailor the schedule to fit.
  • Schedules are consistent: you will work classes at the same time and location each week for a semester (16 weeks)
  • Season schedules typically follow school district calendars
Responsibilities:

  • Lead groups of 8-10 kids for a 25–40-minute class.
  • Arrive to class on time and attend all scheduled classes.
  • Utilize provided class curriculum, designed by education specialists.
  • Keep accurate attendance and complete after-session report.
  • All equipment needed for classes is provided.

Room for growth! Part time position candidates are what we seek, however as Soccer Shots grows, we will be looking to transition our part time instructors to full time coaching coordinators and program directors.

  1. Training - We make sure our coaches are comfortable on the field by offering informative online & in-person training to equip coaches with our curriculum and helpful (developmentally appropriate) coaching techniques.
  2. Curriculum – Our curriculum is FULL of the stuff kids and parents love! Our program is curriculum based, so coaches are provided with session guides and mobile friendly resources to help you deliver the Soccer Shots experience.
  3. Ongoing feedback and growth opportunities - We’re a growing business and are always looking to find passionate and reliable team members to help us continue to grow.
  4. Equipment - We provide everything you need for a Soccer Shots session in an on-the-go bag that fits in the trunk of a car. It’s why we can have Soccer Shots in convenient locations like school gyms, classrooms, outdoor spaces, local parks and community centers.
  5. Opportunities to provide feedback - We value the feedback of our dedicated team and want to know how to make our program better for the families we serve, and our coaches.
