Soccer Shots is an introduction to soccer program for children ages 2-8 with a focus on building character and confidence. Our program offers a high energy, fun, age- appropriate introduction to the game of soccer. Our innovative curriculum has been designed by Early Childhood Educators with input from professional soccer coaches and players. The emphasis of our program is a combination of soccer skills and character development. Our goal is simple: to leave a lasting, positive impact on every child we serve.
Job Description:
The Coordinator role will include but not be limited to the following responsibilities:
- Ensure delivery of Soccer Shots high standard of program quality in both their child care market and their public programs market
- Recruit, train and manage team of coaches
- Set example for coaches in areas of personal character, commitment, communication, and work habits
- Delivers unparalleled customer service to both parents of registrants and owners/directors of child care facilities
- Provide high level of timely and consistent communication with both the internal Soccer Shots team and external customers
The Coach/Program Coordinator will be responsible for performing the following functions:
Coaching and Staff Leadership:
Coaching and Staff Leadership:
- Recruiting, hiring, scheduling, training, evaluating, and managing instructors
- Maintaining instructor schedule, handling cancellations and reschedules, as needed
- Regular communications with all coaches to promote a strong team culture
- Collecting required signed paperwork for all staff instructors and maintaining accurate and complete staff files
- Hosting and leading seasonal instructor meetings (min. 4 per year)
- Coaching a minimum of 10-15 sessions per week each season + coverage for coaches when necessary
- Creating and implementing new ideas on meetings, training, hiring and scheduling
Marketing and Communications:
- Assisting in the seasonal marketing/promotions, including running program demonstrations, distributing registration forms, distributing promotional flyers
- Assisting with direct mail preparation and distribution, promoting public programs
- Communicating with parents, directors, and other account representatives as needed
- Representing Soccer Shots at community events, open houses, information tables, etc.
Administration:
- Scheduling four to five program seasons: Winter 1, Winter 2, Spring, Summer, and Fall and preparing all materials to promote each season
- Organizing and managing the registration and enrollment process at all sites
- Organizing registrants in online registration system prior to the start of each season
- Maintaining instructor equipment and prize inventory
Experience/Requirements:
- Strong organizational, project management and execution skills
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Office and Social Media
- Own transportation and valid driver’s license
- Experience working with children (ages 2-8 an asset)
- CPR-C
- Up to date immunization records
- Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Police Check
Role/Classification:
The job description above is a full time position requiring 40 hours of work per week. While the majority of the hours will take place from Monday afternoon to Saturday morning, the successful applicant will need to be flexible with their time as there will be occasional weeknight hours required.

- Salary Range: $35K - $40K + Bonus eligibility

Compensation: $40,000.00 per year
