After-School Soccer Coaches Needed for Children Ages 3 – 10
Coaches are needed for weekday afternoons between 2:30pm – 4:30pm. Other times might be available, but availability on weekdays between 2:30pm – 4:30pm is best.
Since 2004, we have positively impacted thousands of children in New Castle County and we attribute much of that to the dedicated team we have put together. We are passionate about what we do and we are looking to add coaches to our team who are excited about the idea of impacting the next generation through the game of soccer.
Soccer Shots is a program that introduces soccer to children at preschools, child care centers, elementary schools and local parks. We are expanding and need enthusiastic coaches to help us run sessions in New Castle County. Some specific areas we need coaches include, but are not limited to: Newark, Hockessin, Bear, Wilmington, New Castle and Middletown.
Each session is 30 - 60 minutes long (varying based on age and location). We provide all of the necessary training, equipment and curriculum materials. The compensation is $25 for each session you coach and some sites have multiple sessions that run back to back which would double the compensation.

- Organized - they plan ahead and are systematic in routine. They conduct each session according to the lesson plan and work to maintain appropriate order for the age group.
- Responsible - they are committed to doing what is expected of them as the coach and "face" of Soccer Shots.
- Energetic - they bring Soccer Shots to life by creating a fun and exciting atmosphere that leads children to smile and participate.
Experience:
Soccer experience is preferred, but not required. Familiarity with the game either as a player or coach will be helpful. A background in elementary education or early childhood education makes a great fit.

- Training - We make sure our coaches are comfortable on the field by offering informative online & in-person training to equip coaches with our curriculum and helpful (developmentally appropriate) coaching techniques.
- Curriculum – Our curriculum is FULL of the stuff kids and parents love! Our program is curriculum based, so coaches are provided with session guides and mobile friendly resources to help you deliver the Soccer Shots experience.

- Equipment - We provide everything you need for a Soccer Shots session in an on-the-go bag that fits in the trunk of a car. It’s why we can have Soccer Shots in convenient locations like school gyms, classrooms, outdoor spaces, local parks and community centers.
