Soccer Shots seeks a dependable, child-savvy Lead Coach with leadership experience to join our tight-knit and connected Coaching Team. The role is ideal for someone who is great with children, and can support and evaluate peer Coaches toward excellence.
Soccer Shots®is the soccer experience for children, using an acclaimed non-competitive curriculum and great coaches. Through the beautiful game, we aim to develop character, motor skills and teamwork. Our team believes children are invaluable and our goal is simple: leave a lasting, positive impact on every child we serve.
- Lead trainings for Coaches (on and off field)
- Evaluate Coaching staff
- Lead Saturday Park Program
- Substitute coaching
- Directly supervise members of coaching team
- Support Director of Coaching
- Coach weekly Soccer Shots sessions
- Represent Soccer Shots at public events
- 12 ECE Units (or ability to complete within first six months of position, company reimbursed)
- 2 years leadership experience
- 2 years early childhood experience
- Saturday morning availability
- CCLD Background Clear
- Respected and clear communicator (verbal and written)
- Google Docs and MS Office
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- M-S, 8am-5pm (occasional evening trainings)
- Compensation: $32-40k base salary plus PTO, sick leave, bonus, select benefits and paid education available

Soccer Shots’ outstanding staff consists of early childhood educators, club and career coaches and collegiate athletes. They dedicate themselves to being strong, thoughtful and consistent with the children they lead. Soccer Shots staff are trained in early childhood methodology (& many are ECE Certified), and our team has a thriving leadership development culture of training. All Soccer Shots staff are credentialed in Livescan (FBI/DOJ) & reference cleared, CCLD Health Screening cleared, Mandatory Reporter trained, W2 status & fully insured, Shield The Vulnerable*, and members of NAEYC & United Soccer Coaches.
Soccer Shots Foundation® was established in 2009 by Soccer Shots. Partnering with the US Soccer Foundation, Soccer Shots Foundation efforts benefit children in the U.S. and abroad through education & fitness. Recent projects include: building inner city safe play spaces through Soccer for Success, Rogge School (Ethiopia) Soccer Camp, Kabarat School (Haiti) education & soccer clinic, Porticos School (Mexico) education & clinic, and donated programming to various partners around the Bay Area.
